What we do
Can we help your students to develop their lifelong learning skills and employability?
Our Engage programme offers a range of facilitated workshops for schools and community settings aimed at building key skills and confidence for ages 14-18. Led by our team of experienced practitioners, these workshops use theatre activities to explore teamwork, leadership, problem-solving and critical thinking.
The sessions are intended to be fully inclusive to all, regardless of their level of experience in doing drama or theatre. The majority of our Engage workshops are delivered in settings with no arts provision and where students do not have access to many arts opportunities.
Workshops are available to book across the UK, with a limited number of subsidised projects available annually.
How we do it
We offer a number of options and can tailor sessions to suit your needs
A 1-2 hour workshop using theatre activities to explore pitching and presentation skills, encouraging students to work as a team, contribute to problem-solving tasks and work on their communication skills.
Short Intensive Courses
1 or 2 day workshops which aim to build confidence and self-esteem through a range of team activities, building towards a showcase performance for an invited audience. In these sessions, students are encouraged to take responsibility for specific roles within their team, using their skills and interests to fulfill the different elements required in each task.
6- 8 Week Courses
Perfect for building drama into your extra curricular activities or including in the curriculum as a half term project, our longer courses begin with more intensive facilitated sessions before giving students more freedom and responsibility to develop their own performances. These courses can be tailored to your needs.
Costs: From £100
We offer some subsidised and free sessions in key regions each year.
Intensive and Longer courses also come with options for students to take Arts Awards. Talk to us about bringing an Engage project to your setting!
