RICNIC PUTS YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE SPOTLIGHT BY GIVING THEM COMPLETE CONTROL OF THEIR CREATIVITY. WE SUPPORT OUR PARTICIPANTS TO FULFILL THEIR POTENTIAL THROUGH A RANGE OF FREE PROJECTS ACROSS THE UK.
We inspire young people aged 16-22 to drive positive change in their communities through the arts. Taking charge of every aspect of creating and managing events and performances, both onstage and behind the scenes, young people are empowered to explore their creativity and leadership skills.
All projects, held across the country, are free to access and offer practical experience in project management and mentorship from experienced arts professionals
A programme of mentoring and training opportunities for young people aspiring to hold a career in the creative industries. We deliver an annual series of masterclasses, training days and 1-to-1 mentoring opportunities with professionals currently working in the Arts sector.
We also offer a number of paid work placements each year for young people aged 16-25 to join the staff team as ‘RicNic Associates’.
Facilitated workshops for schools and community settings aimed at building key skills and confidence for ages 7-18. Led by our team of experienced practitioners, these workshops use theatre activities to explore teamwork, leadership, problem-solving and critical thinking, and can be linked to the Arts Award framework.
