RICNIC PUTS YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE SPOTLIGHT BY GIVING THEM COMPLETE CONTROL OF THEIR CREATIVITY. WE SUPPORT OUR PARTICIPANTS TO FULFILL THEIR POTENTIAL THROUGH A RANGE OF FREE PROJECTS ACROSS THE UK.

Every year we challenge 16-22 year olds to form their own theatre company and stage a full-scale musical, taking full responsibility for every role on and off the stage. Running free-of-charge in various locations across the country, participants gain first-hand experience of running a show, whilst benefiting from training and mentoring by arts professionals.

Facilitated workshops for schools and community settings aimed at building key skills and confidence for ages 14-18. Led by our team of experienced practitioners, these workshops use theatre activities to explore teamwork, leadership, problem-solving and critical thinking. Workshops are available to book across the UK, with a limited number of subsidised projects available annually.

A free digital resource for ages 7-13, challenging younger children to celebrate their creative skills and showcase them to their local community. The classroom resources are supported by our staff team and our online portal, linking all participating settings together. Children have the opportunity to attend annual Own the Stage Celebration days and to gain Arts Award certificates.

A development programme supporting 16-25 year olds to create new works, explore new ideas and collaborate with others. Through podcasts, online showcases, workshops and live performances, this programme provides a space for aspiring composers, directors, producers, writers, and performers to explore their craft.
