Aimed at under-16s, Foundry provides spaces for children and their families to explore creative skills with an end goal of creating events or products for their local community. This includes after-school young-enterprise style projects, free holiday clubs including HAF, and one-off workshops with visiting artists such as West-End performers.

Foundry Makes

Foundry Makes is a project-to-project programme that runs on Wednesdays and Fridays 4:30-6:30pm. These groups are mixed ages from 5-16 with projects running on a 10 week basis. Different projects are run on each day exploring different skills and themes whilst working as a team to produce something for the local community. Whether that be a fully choreographed flash mob in the town centre or a recipe book for local families! Foundry Makes is a youth-led, imaginative and accepting space to make new friends, new creations, and new experiences.
Recent Foundry Makes projects have included short plays, keyrings and badges, and a family recipe and activity book. These sessions operate on a pay-what-you-can basis across Walsall.

Wednesday group – 4:30-6:30pm,  All Saints Church Hall, Bloxwich

Friday group – 4:30-6:30pm, Manor Farm Community Association, Rushall

Signups for our Foundry sessions are currently closed. Please contact us to be added to the waiting list and we will notify you when spaces become available.

“My girls wish every day could be a RicNic day…”

Holiday Clubs

During the holidays we have an array of different activity days available to book on to, or just to drop in! We also run HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) days for those who are eligible over the summer. Here we provide creative sessions from drama and dance, to origami and friendship bracelet making.

Holiday projects have included workshops with cast members from Hamilton, Mary Poppins, and Aladdin, writing and voiceover workshops contributing to the Travelling Tales Digital Library, and craft workshops with products sold at Walsall MakerFest.

Holiday club activities are listed on the What’s On page here.
