Crewe Youth Music Project

Get Involved
RicNic is collaborating with Crewe Town Council to spearhead a new project aimed at fostering local talent. This project offers the opportunity to get stuck into the behind-the- scenes of performance and music event production, bringing your ideas to life – all at no cost and with the full support of the RicNic team.
You’ll stage your own day-long music event in the centre of Crewe, exploring the theme of Music & Place, and invite the public to come and join in across a range of interactive workshops, events, and performances. Theatre show? Talent show? Silent disco? Flashmob? Battle of the Bands? The only limit is your creativity!
We welcome applications from individuals who will be assigned a group, or from existing groups (e.g. from a school, dance group, amateur theatre company, etc)
What you’ll do:
Exploring the theme of Music & Place, you’ll work together to create a performance, workhop, or installation which take place during the day itself. After an initial brainstorm of ideas you’ll start to turn your plan into reality, with a variety of training opportunities into skills such as workshop facilitation, choreography, and production. Whether a flashmob, soundscape workshop, contemporary dance piece, cabaret, open mic, or something completely different; the floor is yours to create!
