WHAT WE DO
Are you an aspiring playwright? Or perhaps you have a talent for directing?
Aimed at offering more in-depth support and mentoring to individual creative young people, the Commissions strand provides unique opportunities for early career participants to work with professional mentors, develop their own projects, experience performance opportunities with professional bodies and receive first paid work.
From aspiring composers and writers to directors and performers, plus musicians, producers, technical roles, and more, the Commissions strand is a chance to create new work and collaborate on exciting new projects.
RicNic is passionate about providing young people in the early stages of their creative career with opportunities to be seen and heard. We know how difficult it can be to gain the initial experience so often required to move forwards in the industry, and we strive to provide these opportunities.
Our aim is to establish an ongoing programme of new work which is entirely conceived, developed and performed by the next generation of talented creative artists.
How we do it

Opportunities to develop new work to full production and first performances.
Material Workshopping
