RicNic Cheshire – Spelling Bee

This year RicNic Cheshire are performing The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Malbank School & Sixth Form, Nantwich, Cheshire on the 24th-26th August 2023.

Follow six kid spellers as they navigate the ups and downs of growing up, discovering themselves and spelling. Although, there is much more to this show than just words and letters, as the characters delve into their home lives they tell us stories, some tragic, some heartwarming, but all equally as entertaining. Amongst the children, we also see Rona Peretti, Mitchell Mahoney and Douglas Panch, the three adults at the bee, who also share their tales with us. Join this eclectic bunch as they compete against each other in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee all wanting to be crowned champion, but who will win?

RicNic is an arts charity working across the UK to give young people the opportunity to stage a full-scale musical theatre production, with the participants retaining all creative control and an extensive support network in place to guide and mentor them through this process. Everyone involved in this production, from the director, to the dancers, to the designer, to the drummer, is aged 16-22
